Eco-Friendly
- Real Christmas trees remove Carbon dioxide (C02) from the atmosphere and add oxygen (O2).
- 1 Christmas tree can release 50kg or more of O2.
- Real Christmas trees are biodegradable.
- They are broken down by micro-organisms in the soil which aids soil health.
- It is important to dispose of Christmas trees responsibly (rather than landfill).
- We collect trees after Christmas and recycle them into mulch. There are also many recycling centre’s for Christmas trees across Dublin and Ireland.
- Christmas trees provide a habitat for wildlife.
- Real Christmas trees are far better for the environment than artificial trees.
Supports a Local Economy
- Real trees provide a livelihood for hundreds of farmers across Ireland dedicated to producing quality Christmas trees.
- They are grown from nurseries for 3 to 4 years and for a further 7 to 10 years by farmers. Care for the real tree is provided by skilled workers and this provides a job stimulus in local economies in rural areas.
- They add to Irelands export market. More trees are grown than there is home demand so they positively influence Ireland’s balance of trade.
- They reduce the need for foreign imports of artificial trees, predominantly from China.
Natural Product
- Real Christmas trees have a lovely pine fragrance.
- The different varieties of real Christmas tree provide a beautiful array of green shades and glows, and needle structure and shape.
- No two real trees are exactly the same – each one will have its own variation of colour, shape and size – so whichever one you choose will be uniquely yours.
